I FURIOSI: Home

I FURIOSI is one of the world’s most innovative Baroque ensembles, comprised of four of Canada’s leading early music specialists: soprano Gabrielle McLaughlin, violinists Aisslinn Nosky and Julia Wedman and cellist/gambist Felix Deak. These four bold musicians celebrate I FURIOSI’s Thirteenth Season by invoking the "bizarre and unnatural" aesthetic both esteemed and reviled in the Baroque era. Captivating performance style and inspired thematic programming has garnered I FURIOSI a reputation as a rebellious and ground breaking force in the Canadian and international early music scene.

I FURIOSI's FAMILY JEWELS

Families.  You can't live with them, you can't legally have them all sent to an island in the middle of the ocean.  The Baroque era saw many families of composers and musicians who tolerated each other - or didn't.  Jed Wentz and Olivier Fortin come for an I FURIOSI dysfunctional family reunion.

Guests: Jed Wentz, flauto traverso

Olivier Fortin, harpsichord
